Middle of November we got a new dog! Yea! Her name is Sushi. She is a Jack Russell mix. She is about 15 months. I like her. She needs some training, but that's okay. Gabriel (our other fur baby) likes her. Unfortunately about 2 days after we got her she went into heat (in season). So we are dealing with that right now. FUN! FUN! FUN! She is whining, Gabriel is whining. Driving me and DH crazy. I hate leaving her in her crate so much, but that's all I can do right now. We will be getting her fixed asap, but that will be after the new year at least. Then Gizmo (kitty), then Gabriel.
This is Sushi....
C was sick. Then had Thanksgiving. It was pretty good. Went to my parents house. Dh was sick. Then M got sick. Poor baby! I hate it when the kids throw up! Especially for the first time. They look so confused! It's sad.
C has been a real stinker lately. She is being kind of destructive. She has been ripping up her books in her room. She is ripping the pictures off the covers. We finally took all her books out of her room tonight. I really don't know why she is doing this. She bit a hole in M's ball. Maybe she is just being a toddler. You know just doing stuff to see what would happen. Not, 'will I get in trouble', but more 'if I do this, what happens'.
For example, today C got up for breakfast, I feed her and M. M went back to sleep. So did I (big mistake). I got up to take Sushi out (tell you about her later) and what did I find? A FRICKIN FLOOD! Apparently she thought it was a good idea to poor water on the floor. on the rug. on the furniture. She was carrying cups of water from bathroom to living room (just down the hall) and dumping water on the rug! What was she thinking?! I was so furious. I was speechless. I gave her a little swat and told her to go to her room. There was a river from the bathroom to the wall (almost). Probably a good 15 feet. Luckily for all of us, there was a towel under my filing cabinet (to protect the wood floors) and it stopped the water from getting to the power strip that was right next to the wall.
I don't know what to do with her. For right now, we will just wait and see. Dh seems to think we aren't spending enough time with her. He feels guilty for working so much. Well, sorry but that;s life. I try and spend time with her and play with her. Daddy has to work. I am not trying to be cold, but that is reality. My dad worked a lot and was gone a lot when I was growing up. I may have had some daddy issues or abandonment issues, but I think I am OK. She should be fine. It's not like he's gone for weeks, months, years at a time.
She hasn't been a complete stinker. She is very helpful and considerate most of the time. If someone hurts themselves she will give you kisses to make it feel better. If you are sick, she wants to bring you flowers so you feel better. She is very affectionate. I am sure the destruction is just a phase. We just have to figure out how to handle it. She was 'making patties' yesterday. (that means folding clothes in C-speak) No one asked her to help. She just pitched in all by herself. I am incredibly proud of her.
Oh and the boys! At church one boy asked his parents if he could kiss her. Another wants to hold her hand. At TOT a little boy wanted to follow Snow White (C's costume). She is only 3.5 yo and we already have boys falling all over them selves!
M has taken her first step a couple of days ago. I think it was on Dec 3rd. She is eating great now after being sick. She says 'gogie' for doggie. I think she says 'tatu' thank you sometimes. And something that sounds like all done. She likes to climb on the toy box and band her head on the walls. (in a cute way not a weird way). She loves to bang toys together for the noise. I gave her a little corn dog yesterday. She loves to try new foods. Except carrots. M hates carrots. And don't try to sneak them in her mouth either! She will spit out a whole mouthful of food just to get that carrot out!
We got a Christmas tree the other day. It is up, but no decorations yet. Been too busy with doc appt (M's vax & flu shot), birthdays my dad and s's mom and just everyday stuff too. S has the porch lights up, but not the house lights yet. I am still trying to get caught up from everyone being sick and Thanksgiving. I really shouldn't be on here. I should be bring Christmas toys in from garage to hide in house so kitty doesn't get any ideas and pee on them. Ehh, later. I want to update here before I forget stuff.
My mom got the girls advent calendars and I am trying to make every day exciting for C regarding Christmas and Santa.
C lost her white blankie and S finally found it the other day. I snuck in her room and put it in bed with her. I suggested maybe Santa found it and brought it back to her. She was VERY happy to have her blankie back. She has a green back-up, but it is so not the same.
As for me and the diet thing, not working. I think it will be part of my New Years res. So far I have (in no particular order):
1. start Atkins again
2. exercise
3. take pictures!!! at least once a month!
4. take better care of my self
5. take better care of my family
6. take better care of house
7. take better care of pets
8. sew more
9. crochet more
10. be a better person overall.....
anything else?
OK, I think I am pretty caught up. If I forgot anything. I will post again. Merry Christmas everyone!
